Loodusvaimud, often translated as nature spirits or elemental spirits, are beings from folklore and mythology believed to inhabit and govern natural elements and phenomena. These entities are found in a wide range of cultures and traditions across the world, though their specific forms, roles, and names vary significantly.

In many European traditions, especially those influenced by animism and later Neopaganism, nature spirits are categorized into elements. These commonly include beings associated with earth, air, fire, and water. Examples include gnomes for earth, sylphs for air, salamanders for fire, and undines or nymphs for water. These spirits are often depicted as having a direct influence over the health and vitality of their respective domains, and their favor was sought for good harvests, safe journeys, or favorable weather.

Across other cultures, similar concepts exist. In Japanese Shinto, kami are spirits or gods that embody natural forces, places, or even concepts.
