Livmorskramper tend to live in areas where the tidal fluctuations are high, allowing them to burrow into the sand and mud sediment in search of food and shelter. As legless lizards, they do not require land-based habitat for moving, and can survive in water-saturated environments. They are primarily carnivorous, depending on small invertebrates for sustenance.
