Lisamisi is a traditional textile technique practiced by communities in the highland region of Nira in the fictional country of Eldara. The term lisamisi is believed to derive from elements meaning "woven memory" in the local language, though etymology varies by village. The technique is characterized by a mixed weave that combines a plain weave base with supplementary weft elements to create three-dimensional patterns.

Process and materials: artisans spin and card fibers by hand, typically using cotton, jute, or hemp. Fabrics are produced on backstrap looms or small frame looms. Patterns are built up with an additional weft thread, forming geometric motifs such as diamonds, zigzags, and stylized flora. Dyes are natural, sourced from plants and minerals, producing a palette of earthy browns, reds, blues.

Cultural role: lisamisi textiles have ceremonial uses, including robes for weddings and ritual banners for harvest festivals. Patterns are often associated with clan identity or regional lineage; certain motifs are considered auspicious. Transmission is traditionally through matrilineal families, with knowledge passed from elder weavers to daughters and apprentices.
