Ligamentska is an adjective used in some Slavic languages to mean relating to ligaments or ligamentous tissue. In English, the corresponding term is ligamentous, but ligamentska appears in medical and anatomical texts written in languages such as Croatian, Serbian, or Bosnian to describe ligament-related structures or features.

Ligaments are dense connective tissue bands that connect bone to bone, stabilizing joints and guiding movement. They are primarily made of parallel collagen type I fibers, with fibroblasts, and they may contain small amounts of elastin. The arrangement and composition vary by location; some ligaments are thick and rope-like, while others are flatter and slightly more elastic, reflecting their mechanical roles in different joints.

In clinical and anatomical descriptions, ligamentska is used to denote properties or conditions of ligaments. Examples include ligamentska injuries (sprains), ligamentska laxity (hypermobility), and ligamentska tissue (ligamentous tissue). These terms help distinguish ligament-related aspects from other connective tissues such as tendons or fascia.

Healing of ligaments is often slower than that of many other tissues due to limited blood supply. Treatments typically involve rest and immobilization followed by gradual rehabilitation with physical therapy. More severe injuries, such as complete ligament tears, may require surgical reconstruction or repair, as seen in some ACL injuries, to restore joint stability and function.
