Laserrun, or Laser Run, is a sport that combines running with precision shooting using a laser pistol. It is practiced as part of modern pentathlon and also as a standalone discipline. In a typical Laser Run, competitors complete a running course interspersed with shooting bouts. During each shooting bout, athletes aim at five targets with a sport-specific laser pistol; a hit is registered by an electronic sensor in the target. Missed targets may incur a penalty, such as an extra distance to run or time penalties, depending on the competition format.

Equipment and rules: The weapons used are laser pistols that resemble real firearms but emit a harmless beam. Targets are electronically scored by sensors. The running segments test endurance, while the shooting requires calm, accuracy, and control despite fatigue. The format is designed to be safer and more affordable than conventional firearm shooting.

Competition and governance: Laser Run events are governed by the Union Internationale de Pentathlon Moderne (UIPM). The discipline is commonly featured as the final combined event in modern pentathlon, but it is also organized as standalone competitions by national federations and clubs around the world. Formats vary, but most events include several running laps interleaved with multiple shooting bouts.

History and adoption: The Laser Run format was developed in the 2010s to modernize pentathlon's running and shooting components, reduce safety concerns, and broaden participation. It has been adopted by schools and youth programs as a training and competition activity and has expanded into regional and international events.
