Körfogat is a Swedish automotive term describing the engine displacement, the total volume swept by the pistons of all cylinders in an internal combustion engine. It is usually expressed in cubic centimeters (cc) or liters (L). In English, the closest equivalents are engine displacement or cylinder capacity. The displacement is determined by the geometry of the engine: for each cylinder, volume = π/4 × bore^2 × stroke; the total displacement is this per-cylinder volume multiplied by the number of cylinders.
