kärngränsbildning
Kärngränsbildning refers to the process by which a molten core solidifies in a cast or forged component. This phenomenon is particularly relevant in metallurgy and materials science, impacting the final properties of the material. When a molten metal cools, it begins to solidify from the outer surfaces inwards. The region where the solid and liquid phases coexist is known as the mushy zone. As solidification progresses, this mushy zone grows until the entire casting or forging has become solid.
The rate of cooling and the composition of the alloy are key factors influencing kärngränsbildning. Faster
