Kterem is a term used in speculative fiction and constructed-language circles to denote a fictional language or script. In many in-universe descriptions, Kterem is presented as an agglutinative language spoken in a large continental region, often with a rich tradition of manuscripts and poetry that scholars within the story study.

Phonology and writing in Kterem are commonly described as combining a stable set of consonants and vowels with limited allophony. Typical inventories include plosives such as p, t, k; fricatives like s and h; and nasals such as m and n, along with a basic vowel set of a, e, i, o, u. Some portrayals feature vowel harmony or phonemic length in certain dialects.
