The krambid is a small, arboreal mammal-like creature described in the field guides of the fictional continent of Aridia. It inhabits temperate and subtropical forests, typically the mid to upper canopy, and is noted for its agility, tactile fur, and especially its prehensile tail used for grasping branches.

Physical characteristics include a body length of about 40 to 60 cm, with a tail of roughly 25 to 35 cm. Adults weigh around 1.5 to 3.5 kg. The fur is dense and varies from gray to rufous, providing camouflage in dappled light. Reproduction is seasonal in temperate regions but can be more year-round in warmer areas. Gestation lasts about 40 to 45 days, with litters of one to two offspring. Both parents participate in care, and weaning occurs at approximately 8 to 12 weeks.

Etymology traces the name krambid to local vernacular, where elements meaning wanderer and creature are combined. In Aridian folklore, the krambid is a symbol of resilience and arboreal adaptability, occasionally appearing in regional art and storytelling.
