koristepintana
Koristepintana is a Finnish architectural term referring to a decorative surface treatment applied to ceilings and, less often, to upper wall sections. It describes surfaces finished with painting, stucco relief, gilding, or other ornamental techniques intended to emphasize form, light, and space in interiors. In Finnish architectural literature it is used when documenting historic interiors, as well as in conservation plans and restoration projects.
