Konjunktursensibel, or konjunktursensibla in plural form, is a term used in economics and finance to describe the degree to which a variable, asset or sector responds to fluctuations in the business cycle. Something labeled konjunktursensibelt tends to expand in good times and contract in downturns, closely tied to overall economic activity. The opposite of konjunktursensibla is a defensive or non-cyclical behavior, where demand or value is less affected by economic swings.

Common examples of konjunktursensibla sectors are manufacturing, construction, automotive, and other durable goods, as well as export-oriented industries and consumer discretionary items. In financial markets, equities with high cyclicality, commodity prices, and certain currencies can exhibit strong konjunktursensibilitet, while utilities, consumer staples, and healthcare are typically more konjunkturskyddade (less sensitive). The degree of konjunktursensibilitet can vary across countries, time periods, and in response to policy or structural changes.

Measurement of konjunktursensibel behavior often relies on the correlation with or response to the business cycle, such as the correlation with GDP, the beta to recession indicators, or elasticities of demand with respect to income. Analysts and policymakers use the concept to assess risk, forecast demand, and understand how shocks may propagate through the economy or a portfolio.

Limitations include the fact that cyclicality is not fixed: it can change with technology, globalization, policy interventions, and unique shocks. The term helps describe relative sensitivity rather than providing a precise, universal cutoff between cyclical and non-cyclical categories.
