kompresszibilitást
Kompresszibilitás is a thermodynamic property that describes how much the volume of a substance changes in response to a change in pressure. It is essentially a measure of a material's resistance to compression. Quantitatively, it is defined as the relative change in volume per unit change in pressure at a constant temperature. The isothermal compressibility, denoted by kT, is given by the formula: kT = -(1/V)(dV/dP)T, where V is the volume, P is the pressure, and the subscript T indicates constant temperature. A substance with high kompresszibilitás will experience a significant volume reduction when pressure is applied, while a substance with low kompresszibilitás will show little change in volume under the same conditions.
Gases generally exhibit high kompresszibilitás because their molecules are far apart and can be easily forced
