Klockflanken, a Swedish term, translates to "clock edge" in English and refers to the transition of a digital signal from one state to another. In digital electronics, information is processed and transmitted in discrete steps synchronized by a clock signal. This clock signal is a periodic waveform that alternates between a high voltage (logic 1) and a low voltage (logic 0). The "flank" or edge is the moment of change between these two states.
