Kedjeopererad, literally “chain‑operated”, refers to a mechanical system in which motion or power is transmitted primarily through a chain and sprocket arrangement. In this design, one or more rotating sprockets drive a flexible chain that, in turn, imparts motion to a second sprocket or gear.
