Kaugjuhitav is an Estonian adjective meaning remote-controlled. It describes devices or systems that are operated from a distance by a human controller, rather than being autonomous. The word comes from the components kaug- meaning far and juhitav meaning controllable or steerable.

In typical use, a remote control transmits commands from a transmitter to a receiver on the device. The operator uses controls to adjust movement, speed, orientation, and other functions such as camera direction or gripper actuation. Control signals may be carried over radio frequency, infrared, or, in modern systems, via internet connections or dedicated digital links.
