A juottoliitin, often referred to as a soldering iron in English, is a hand-held electrical tool used to melt solder so that it can flow into the joint between two or more components. The heated metal tip of the soldering iron is applied to the parts to be joined, and then the solder is applied to the tip, where it melts and flows onto the parts. The tool is commonly used in electronics for assembling and disassembling electronic components onto circuit boards, as well as for plumbing and metalworking.
Soldering irons come in various power ratings, typically measured in watts, which determine how hot they can
