Juotosmetalli, also known as solder, is a fusible metal alloy used to join pieces of metal or electronic components together through a process called soldering. It typically has a relatively low melting point, making it easy to melt with a soldering iron or torch. Historically, lead-tin alloys were common, but due to environmental and health concerns, lead-free solders have become increasingly prevalent.

Modern lead-free solders often consist of tin mixed with other metals such as silver, copper, bismuth, or indium.
