Jauhemaaltuvia, a Finnish term, refers to a specific type of edible mushroom. It is scientifically known as *Cortinarius rubellus* and is also commonly called the deadly webcap. This mushroom is characterized by its reddish-brown cap, which can be up to 10 centimeters in diameter, and its similarly colored gills. The stem is typically slender and fibrous.

The geographical distribution of jauhemaaltuvia is primarily in Northern Europe and parts of Asia. It is often found growing in coniferous forests, particularly under pine and spruce trees, where it forms a mycorrhizal association with the trees. The fruiting bodies usually appear in autumn.

Crucially, jauhemaaltuvia is highly poisonous. It contains a potent toxin called orellanine, which can cause severe kidney damage. Symptoms of poisoning may not appear for several days or even weeks after ingestion, making it particularly dangerous.
