içsellik

İçsellik is a Turkish noun that refers to the inner nature, essence, or internal reality of something. It denotes the intrinsic qualities, inner life, or subjective dimension that a phenomenon possesses, as opposed to its exterior form or outward appearance (dışsellik). The term is used across disciplines such as philosophy, psychology, aesthetics, and social sciences to speak of meanings, motivations, values, and experiences that are not directly observable.

Linguistically, içsellik is formed from the root iç (inside) combined with the abstract-noun suffix -sellik, a productive suffix in Turkish that yields nouns meaning a state, quality, or characteristic. It is commonly contrasted with dışsellik (exteriority) to discuss the balance or tension between interior and exterior aspects of a subject. The adjective form related to the concept is içsel, used to describe internal or inward processes and dimensions, such as içsel düşünceler (inner thoughts) or içsel süreçler (internal processes).
