Izomrángásokat, commonly referred to as muscle twitches or fasciculations, are involuntary, localized contractions of muscle fibers. These brief, often subtle movements are a common physiological phenomenon and can occur in any skeletal muscle. While typically benign and transient, they can sometimes be a symptom of underlying medical conditions.

The precise cause of most izomrángásokat is not fully understood, but they are thought to arise from minor disruptions in the nerve signals that control muscle activity. Factors such as fatigue, stress, caffeine intake, electrolyte imbalances, and certain medications can trigger or exacerbate them. Dehydration and low levels of magnesium or potassium are also frequently implicated.
