Insensibil is an adjective used in several languages, most notably Romanian, derived from Latin insensibilis, meaning not able to feel. In medical contexts, insensibil describes a state of diminished or absent sensation in a part of the body, or, less commonly, in the whole body. The term is closely related to anesthesia and hypoesthesia, which denote complete and partial loss of sensation, respectively.
