ininerines

Ininerines are a hypothetical class of elementary particles proposed in speculative models that attempt to extend the Standard Model of particle physics and connect it with gravity and dark-sector physics. In these frameworks, ininerines are envisioned as mediators that couple weakly to ordinary matter while interacting with hidden-sector fields, potentially helping to link observable cosmology with new fundamental forces. The term is used to distinguish these proposed carriers from known gauge bosons and to emphasize their role within a putative internal or hidden sector.

Theoretical background and properties are model dependent. Some proposals treat ininerines as scalar particles, others as vector bosons, with masses ranging from very light to endowing a small but nonzero mass through a symmetry-breaking mechanism. They are often assumed to interact via a weak or suppressed coupling to Standard Model fields, possibly through kinetic or mass mixing with photons or other neutral particles. In several scenarios, ininerines could participate in early-universe dynamics, affect the evolution of dark matter, or provide channels for hidden-sector communications without violating current experimental bounds.

Experimental status remains unsettled. To date, there is no direct or indirect evidence for ininerines. Ongoing and proposed experiments seek faint signatures such as deviations in cosmic microwave background observations, subtle shifts in structure formation, or novel signals in precision force and resonance tests.
