Ineneerimise is a term that originates from Estonian language, taken from the words "inene", meaning "inside", and "eerimine", meaning "pleasing" or "decorative". Ineneerimise is a traditional Estonian decorative art form, primarily practiced in the 18th and 19th centuries.

It involves applying a mixture of tow and other plant materials to the interior surfaces of trees, typically birches or poplars, to create intricate patterns, designs, and shapes. The striking visual effect is achieved by partially removing the bark, revealing the smooth, whitish interior of the tree. The patterns can range from elaborate and ornate to simple and geometric.

This form of decorative art was widely practiced among the rural population in Estonia, especially among women. They would often use the techniques to decorate homes, lampstands, and other domestic objects. The art form also had practical applications - for example, inning was used to seal gaps in wooden objects and add an attractive finish to various items.
