These diseases can arise from various causes, such as tumors of the pituitary gland (adenomas), damage from trauma or radiation, genetic defects, or autoimmune conditions. Depending on the specific hormones affected, hypofüüsihaigused can manifest in diverse ways.

One common category is hypopituitarism, where the pituitary gland does not produce enough hormones.
