Hüdraulilisi refers to the principles and applications of hydraulics, a branch of engineering that deals with the mechanical properties of liquids, especially water, under pressure. It encompasses the study of fluid statics, fluid dynamics, and fluid machinery. In essence, hydraulics is about harnessing the power of liquids to perform work.

The fundamental concept behind hydraulics is Pascal's Law, which states that a pressure applied to an enclosed fluid is transmitted undiminished to every portion of the fluid and the walls of the containing vessel. This principle allows for the amplification of force. For instance, in a hydraulic press, a small force applied to a small piston generates a large force on a larger piston.

Hydraulic systems are ubiquitous in modern technology. They are found in heavy machinery like excavators and bulldozers, where hydraulic actuators provide the immense strength needed for digging and lifting. Automobiles utilize hydraulic systems for braking, allowing drivers to apply significant stopping power with relatively little effort. Aircraft employ hydraulics for operating landing gear, flaps, and control surfaces. Industrial applications include hydraulic presses for manufacturing, hydraulic elevators, and hydraulic power steering.

The components of a typical hydraulic system include a reservoir for storing hydraulic fluid, a pump to pressurize the fluid, valves to control the flow and direction of the fluid, actuators (cylinders or motors) that convert hydraulic energy into mechanical work, and hoses or pipes to connect these components. The fluid itself, often oil-based, is crucial for transmitting power and also provides lubrication and cooling.
