In its typical form, historiallis employs an event-centric data model. Core elements include entities (persons, places, artifacts), events (occurrences with temporal bounds), attributes (properties of entities and events), and relationships (causal, temporal, or thematic links). Events carry temporal metadata such as start and end times, uncertainty, and version tags.
