Helprotes, or full dentures, are removable dental prostheses that replace all natural teeth in one or both jaws. A maxillary helprotes replaces the upper teeth, while a mandibular helprotes replaces the lower teeth. The prosthesis rests on the mucosa and relies on tissue support, suction, and, in some cases, implants or denture adhesive for retention.
