Hagedyr is a Danish term that translates to "garden pest" or "garden vermin." It broadly refers to any animal that is considered a nuisance or destructive to a garden's plants, crops, or overall appearance. This can include a wide range of creatures, from common insects to larger mammals.

Insects are frequent garden pests. Aphids, for example, feed on plant sap and can weaken or kill young plants. Slugs and snails are known for their voracious appetites, leaving holes in leaves and damaging fruits and vegetables.
