Guidings is a global youth development movement focused on girls and young women. The term refers to the organized programs and member associations that carry a guiding curriculum—characterized by outdoor skills, service, and leadership development—and typically operate through local units or troops. In many countries the word Guiding is used alongside Girl Guides or Girl Guiding.

Guidings originated in the early 20th century in the United Kingdom, with the Girl Guides founded by Agnes and Robert Baden-Powell as a sister movement to the Boy Scouts. The movement rapidly expanded to the British Empire and later to other regions, producing a widespread network of national organizations that share common values and learning methods while adapting to local cultures.

National Guiding associations supervise age-graded programs for children and youths. Typical activities include camping, first aid, environmental stewardship, community service, and personal and social development. Members earn badges and awards as they complete skills and service projects, and they participate in meetings, camps, and international events. Leadership opportunities for older members are a central feature.

Globally, Guidings are coordinated through the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) and related regional structures. While the core aim remains empowering girls and young women, programs vary by country; some nations operate coeducational offerings, others maintain single-gender guiding. The movement has influenced youth development and civic engagement in many societies.
