Glaciercarved is a term used in geomorphology to describe landforms and terrains whose shape and arrangement are dominated by glacial erosion and deposition. While not a formal geological unit, the descriptor is commonly applied to valleys, peaks, and plains that evidence extensive past or continuing glaciation.

Glaciercarved landscapes form through processes such as abrasion by ice, plucking of bedrock, and hydraulic enlargement of cracks, along with deposition of till and morainic debris. Over thousands to millions of years, moving ice scours, deepens valleys, creates cirques, aretes, horns, and flat-topped or U-shaped valleys, and polishes bedrock visible as striations.

Common manifestations include U-shaped valleys, fjords, cirques, aretes, horns, hanging valleys, and glacial troughs; in coastal regions fjords form when ice-filled valleys are inundated by sea.

Geographically, glaciercarved terrain is found across high-latitude and high-altitude regions: Alaska, western Canada, Greenland, Scandinavia, the Alps, the Andes, the Himalayas.

Contemporary research focuses on reconstructing past climates, ice thickness, and erosion rates; glaciercarved regions provide hydrological resources and habitats; climate change is reducing glacier mass, accelerating landscape changes and impacting related ecosystems.
