Galvaniseerida is the Estonian verb meaning to galvanize or to coat with zinc. This process is a method of protecting iron or steel from corrosion. The most common method of galvanising is hot-dip galvanising, where the metal is immersed in a bath of molten zinc. The zinc forms a protective layer on the surface of the iron or steel, acting as a barrier against moisture and oxygen.
