Fénymásolók, often referred to as photocopiers, are electronic devices that make quick paper copies of documents and other visual images. The process is called xerography, from the Greek words xeros (dry) and graphein (to write). In its simplest form, a fénymásoló works by creating a latent image of the original document on a charged, light-sensitive drum. This image is then developed using toner, a powder that adheres to the charged areas. Finally, the toner image is transferred to a piece of paper, which is then heated to fuse the toner permanently.
