Franchiserade is an adjective describing a business or market that operates under a franchise model, where the rights to use a brand and a proven business format are licensed from a franchisor to independent operators (franchisees). The term is used in Swedish and other languages to emphasize the franchised nature of a network.

In a franchise system, the franchisor grants a franchisee the right to use the brand, method, and operating system, in exchange for initial fees and ongoing royalties. The franchisee runs their own local unit under standards defined in a franchise agreement and an operations manual. The franchisor typically provides training, marketing support, supplier relationships, and brand oversight; the franchisee handles local staffing, inventory, and day-to-day management.
