folytatódását

Folytatódását is a Hungarian grammatical form derived from the noun folytatódás, meaning continuation or the process of continuing. It represents the definite accusative singular form used when the continuation is treated as a definite object of a verb. In other words, folytatódását communicates “its continuation” or “the continuation of this” as a specific, identifiable entity within a sentence.

Morphology and usage. The base noun folytatódás is formed from the verb folytatódik (to continue) with the nominalizing suffix -ás/-ódás. The ending -át/-t, here in -ását, marks the definite direct object in the singular. This form is appropriate when the speaker and listener both know which continuation is being referred to, often preceded by a demonstrative or possessive modifier (for example, ennek a folytatódását = the continuation of this). It is not typically used as a standalone subject; rather, it functions as the object of verbs such as várják (they await), bejelentették (they announced), tervezik (they plan), vagy figyelembe veszik (they consider), among others.
