A flerbarrelförgasare, often translated as a multi-barrel carburetor, is a type of internal combustion engine fuel system that utilizes multiple venturi sections, or barrels, to control the air-fuel mixture. Typically, these carburetors feature two or four barrels, though other configurations exist. The primary purpose of employing multiple barrels is to improve airflow and fuel delivery, especially at higher engine speeds and under greater load.

In a typical two-barrel carburetor, one barrel may be responsible for fuel delivery at lower engine speeds and lighter loads, while the second barrel opens up as the throttle is pressed further, providing additional fuel and air for increased power. Four-barrel carburetors operate on a similar principle but with a more pronounced split in function, often with two smaller barrels for normal driving and two larger barrels that engage for high-performance situations.
