In sports, fiksing most often means match-fixing or spot-fixing: the deliberate arrangement of a game’s outcome or of specific events within a game (such as the number of goals, corners, or the timing of a goal) to produce a prearranged result. Participants can include players, referees, coaches, club officials, or third parties such as bookmakers or syndicates.
