Fasadë, in Albanian, refers to the facade of a building—the exterior face that is visible from the street. It is the part of the architecture that defines the building’s street presence and often its historical or stylistic identity.

In construction and architectural discourse, the fasadë forms the exterior envelope, its surface treatment, openings (windows and doors), and the materials and systems used to protect the interior from weather and to regulate light, heat, and ventilation.

Materials and methods: cladding materials (stone, brick, tile, metal, glass); framing (load-bearing vs. post-and-beam or curtain wall); insulation and waterproofing; structural and environmental performance.

Types: load-bearing facades, curtain-wall facades, double-skin facades; adaptive facades with dynamic shading; seasonal design.
