erzielt

Erzielt is a German verb meaning to achieve, obtain, or to score. It is most commonly used in sports to indicate that someone has scored goals, but it is also used in business and journalism to express the attainment of revenue, results, or targets. As a transitive verb, it takes a direct object in the accusative (for example, ein Tor, zwei Tore; Umsätze, Gewinne).

The word derives from er- plus Ziel (goal, target). The prefix er- adds a sense of completion
