Epoxy injection is a method used to repair cracks in concrete and masonry by introducing epoxy resin into the crack to seal it and bond the surrounding materials. It is employed to restore structural capacity and reduce water intrusion in reinforced concrete members such as beams, columns, slabs, as well as in bridges, tunnels, and foundations.

Materials typically consist of a two-component epoxy resin system combined with a curing agent. The system is available in a range of viscosities, from low-viscosity products for narrow or void-filled cracks to higher-viscosity resins for wider openings. Ancillary items include surface sealants to limit leakage, and injection ports (packers) arranged along the crack. Curing times depend on product formulation and ambient conditions.

Repair procedure generally involves: assessing the crack and its movement; preparing the surface by cleaning and, if needed, routing and sealing the crack to create a continuous pathway; installing injection ports at intervals; sealing the surface around the ports; injecting resin under controlled pressure from one end and progressing along the crack until it is filled; allowing the resin to cure and conducting any post-injection tests.

Epoxy injection can restore bond between crack faces and transfer stresses, improve stiffness, and stop water leakage. It is most appropriate for static or slowly growing cracks in sound substrates. It is not suitable for active cracks that continue to widen or for joints requiring substantial movement, and it may not be effective where severe deterioration or corrosion has occurred.

Safety and quality considerations include adequate ventilation, PPE for handling resins, proper mixing and temperature control, and following applicable standards and guidelines from organizations such as ASTM and ICRI.
