Enkomponents, plural of enkomponent, is a term used in materials science and industrial chemistry to describe formulations or substances that consist of a single chemical component and do not require mixing with a separate hardening or curing agent before use. The term is commonly found in Scandinavian languages, where it contrasts with two-component (2K) systems.

In practice, enkomponent products include one-component paints and coatings, sealants, and adhesives such as one-component polyurethane or silicone sealants. These products are designed to cure, dry, or set through a single, self-contained process, which may rely on solvent evaporation, moisture from the air, or polymerization initiated by an internal curing mechanism.

Advantages of enkomponent systems include simpler handling, storage, and application, since there is no mixing or precise ratio calculation. They are often favored for on-site or field work where speed and simplicity are valuable. Disadvantages can include dependence on ambient conditions for curing (such as humidity or temperature), potential limitations in final performance compared with more controllable multi-component systems, and sometimes longer cure times or lower mechanical properties in certain applications.

Typical applications occur in construction, automotive sealing and bonding, electronics assembly, and consumer products where ease of use and straightforward procurement are important.
