Enkomponent

Enkomponent, or one-component, is a term used in materials science and related industries to describe a system that cures or sets from a single component without the need to mix in a second component such as a hardener or catalyst. The concept is common in adhesives, sealants, coatings and polymers, and it contrasts with tvåkomponent (two-component) systems, which require combination of two reactive parts to initiate curing.

Advantages of enkomponent systems include ease of use, stable storage, and simplified handling since no mixing is required. Limitations may include dependency on environmental conditions for cure (such as humidity or temperature), slower cure times compared with some two-component systems, and sometimes lower performance or higher volatility for certain formulations.
