Enkomponent
Enkomponent, or one-component, is a term used in materials science and related industries to describe a system that cures or sets from a single component without the need to mix in a second component such as a hardener or catalyst. The concept is common in adhesives, sealants, coatings and polymers, and it contrasts with tvåkomponent (two-component) systems, which require combination of two reactive parts to initiate curing.
Curing mechanisms for enkomponent products vary. Many cure through exposure to ambient moisture or humidity (moisture-curing),
Typical applications span construction, automotive, electronics and consumer goods. In construction, enkomponent sealants and foam sealants
Advantages of enkomponent systems include ease of use, stable storage, and simplified handling since no mixing
