Metabolic bone health and vitamin D–related disorders are also relevant, along with disorders of growth, puberty, and obesity-related endocrinopathies.

Management emphasizes hormone replacement or modulation, pharmacotherapy to influence endocrine pathways, lifestyle interventions, and, when appropriate, surgical treatment for tumors or structural abnormalities. Endocrinology involves ongoing collaboration with primary care, radiology, pediatrics, obstetrics, oncology, and other specialties, and is supported by continual research and guideline development.
