Electrohouse is a subgenre of electronic dance music that fuses the four-on-the-floor framework of house with electro-style bass, synth textures, and processing. It is characterized by punchy kick and snappy, distorted basslines, metallic or squelchy synthesizers, and sometimes robotic vocal samples. The tempo commonly sits around 125 to 135 BPM.

The sound often employs sawtooth or square wave synths, aggressive sidechain compression, and builds that culminate in pronounced drops. It can incorporate elements from hard house, electro-funk, and sometimes complextro, with tracks featuring aggressive midrange energy and a prominent, crisp production style.

Origins trace to the early 2000s, drawing on 1980s electro and French house. Benny Benassi's Satisfaction (2002) is frequently cited as a landmark track; later acts such as David Guetta, Deadmau5, and Steve Aoki popularized electrohouse in mainstream clubs and festivals during the late 2000s and early 2010s.

In contemporary usage, electrohouse is sometimes used broadly to describe tracks with electro-influenced bass and house rhythms, which has led to overlapping labels with other EDM subgenres. It remains a flexible descriptor rather than a strictly defined genre, reflecting a range of productions from club-oriented bangers to crossover tracks.
