Dwarfismi refers to a medical condition characterized by significantly short stature. It is typically defined as an adult height of less than 4 feet 10 inches (147 cm). There are many different causes for dwarfismi, with the most common being a genetic mutation affecting bone and cartilage growth. This can lead to disproportionate dwarfism, where limbs are short in comparison to the trunk, or proportionate dwarfism, where the body is uniformly small.
Achondroplasia is the most prevalent form of dwarfism, accounting for about 70% of cases. Other causes include
