A dudelzak is a type of bagpipe originating from the Lower Saxony region of Germany. The name itself, dudelzak, is a compound word derived from the German words "dudeln" meaning to play a bagpipe and "Sack" meaning bag. This instrument typically features a chanter for melody and one or two drones to provide a continuous harmonic accompaniment.

The construction of a dudelzak can vary, but it generally consists of a bag made of leather or synthetic material, a blowpipe to inflate the bag, a chanter with finger holes, and drone pipes. The sound is produced by air from the bag being forced through the chanter and drone reeds, creating a distinctive, often reedy, tone.
