dokumentierte

Dokumentierte is a form of the German verb dokumentieren and also the inflected form of the past participle used as an adjective meaning “documented.” It is not a separate noun or a proper name.

As a verb form in the Präteritum (simple past), dokumentierte is used for first and third person singular statements, and can also appear in third person feminine singular. Examples: Ich dokumentierte die Ergebnisse. Er dokumentierte die Ergebnisse. Sie dokumentierte den Vorgang. In the plural it becomes dokumentierten: Wir dokumentierten die Ergebnisse. Ihr dokumentiertet. Sie dokumentierten die Ergebnisse.

As an attributive adjective, dokumentierte means “documented” and changes its ending according to gender, number, and determiner. Common examples include:

- feminine singular: die dokumentierte Datei, eine dokumentierte Datei

- neuter singular with no determiner or with a determiner: das dokumentierte Material

- plural: die dokumentierten Dateien, dokumentierte Dateien (no determiner)

Note that for masculine singular with an indefinite article the form is different: ein dokumentierter Beweis. The form dokumentierte is primarily used for feminine singular and for all plural forms in the attributive position when a determiner or context suggests those endings.
