Digitální is a Czech adjective meaning digital, relating to digits or to digital technology. In everyday use it describes information represented in discrete values rather than continuous, and it appears in terms such as digitální fotoaparát, digitální televize, digitální záznam or digitální data.

Etymology and linguistic notes: the word stems from Latin digitalis, meaning “of a finger or a digit,” and entered Czech through European language contact as information and communication technologies developed. The form digitální became common with the rise of digital technology and data processing.
