Deurraamsensoren, often translated as "door frame sensors" or "door contact sensors," are components of an alarm system designed to detect when a door is opened. They typically consist of two parts: a magnet and a sensor. One part is mounted on the door frame, and the other is mounted on the door itself. When the door is closed, the magnet is in close proximity to the sensor, completing an electrical circuit. If the door is opened, the magnet is moved away from the sensor, breaking the circuit. This change in the circuit is detected by the alarm system's control panel, which then triggers an alarm.
