Delegitimisation refers to the process of undermining the legitimacy of an entity, institution, or individual. Legitimacy, in this context, is the belief that an authority or system has the right to rule or govern, and that its actions are therefore justified. Delegitimisation aims to erode this belief, making it more difficult for the targeted entity to maintain its authority or influence.
