deGrom

Jacob deGrom is an American professional baseball pitcher. He was born on June 19, 1988, in Sanford, Florida. deGrom attended Stetson University where he played college baseball before being drafted by the New York Mets in the ninth round of the 2010 MLB draft. He made his Major League Baseball debut with the Mets in 2014.

Throughout his career with the Mets, deGrom established himself as one of the premier pitchers in baseball. He is known for his exceptional fastball velocity, sharp slider, and devastating changeup. deGrom has won multiple accolades, including the National League Rookie of the Year award in 2014 and two Cy Young Awards in 2018 and 2021, recognizing him as the league's best pitcher. He has also been selected to several MLB All-Star Games.

deGrom's pitching dominance has been marked by consistently low earned run averages and high strikeout rates. His career has also seen periods of injury that have impacted his playing time. In December 2022, deGrom signed with the Texas Rangers, beginning a new chapter in his baseball career.
